RECYCLING INFORMATION

Thanks for joining the “Recycling Revolution” and choosing to recycle with Patriot Disposal, Inc. We have compiled this list to help you make the most of your effort and to keep the recycling mix clean and keep contaminants out. Should you have a question about something that may not be on this list, please fell free to contact our office and we will get you an answer.

"What happens to the recyclables I put in my container?”

We pick up your recycle container on the same day as your trash pick-up. A separate truck designated for recyclables, only, collects your material curbside and, at the end of the day, takes the load to the Mattera Recycle Center on highway 169 in Dewey. The material is sorted or bailed and sent to a reprocessor.

• Packing peanuts
• Food waste
• Yard trimmings or dirt
• Plastic lined paper bags
• Appliances
• Furniture
• Construction debris
• Pillows or blankets
• Medical waste
• Light bulbs
• Electronics
• Napkins, paper towels, paper plates
• Garden hoses

Glass and Styrofoam are the two biggest contaminants we see out on the route. Because we pick up your recyclables co-mingled (everything together), the glass breaks. This not only creates a hazard to handle but the shards of glass get stuck in the paper making the reprocessing a nightmare. Should we ever get the go ahead to accept these materials we will let you know.

IF YOUR NORMAL PICK UP DAY FALLS ON OR AFTER THE HOLIDAY YOU WILL BE
ONE DAY DELAYED.

We realize the need for our employees to have these few days off a year to spend with their families and we thank you for your understanding.
